I didn't start in SEO. I spent years in travel (Flight Centre), financial advice (Apex Advice Group), and digital marketing before specialising in search. That gives me a perspective most SEO specialists lack: I think about revenue, customers, and conversions—not just rankings.
I've trained in web development, which means I can speak developers' language and handle basic implementations myself. I use AI tools daily to make SEO faster and smarter—from content planning to schema generation—and recently delivered an AI in SEO workshop for KiwiSaaS.
My background in linguistics (Chinese and English) also means I approach content with care for how language actually works—useful when optimising for both humans and search engines.
